After 2 days of launching the program “Joining hands to rescue watermelons for farmers in Binh Dinh province”, Construction Joint Stock Company 47and Hai Au Hotel with the support of Social Media in transmitting the information of the program community, the program has been widely spread to people in Quy Nhon city.
The melons were collected at the gardens and carefully loaded into the trucks on the night of February 22nd , 2020. The watermelons will be gathered at the Hai Au Hotel as planned.

Especially with the connection of CC47, Mr. Pham Van Truong, a delegation of guests staying at Hai Au Hotel, helped farmers in Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh province to sell out nearly 100 tons of watermelon only in 23/02/2020.

Recently, due to the impact of the epidemic nCoV (Covid-19), many agricultural products such as dragon fruit, watermelon, durian … have encountered many difficulties in consuming, which negatively affected farmers in the country. Especially in Binh Dinh province, the most damaged agricultural product was watermelon. Currently, hundreds of hectares of people from South Binh Dinh to Bac Binh Dinh and upland districts such as An Lao, Vinh Thanh, Van Canh are getting stucked for not being outputed.
In order to promote the solidarity tradition of the Vietnamese people and the spirit of “Good leaves protect torn leaves”, the Board of Directors of Construction Corporation 47 launched the program “Join hands to rescue watermelons for farmers in the province”.
Up to now, the Trade Union of Construction Corporation 47 and Hai Au Hotel (a unit of Company 47) has registered to support more than 5 tons of watermelons to support farmers in Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh Province.
With the message “Each melon, one heart” Construction Joint Stock Company 47 hopes to join hands with the community to share with farmers the difficulties caused by the epidemic at this time and support the farmers part of the cost to reproduce for the next crop.
All watermelons, after being purchased, will be gathered and sold at Hai Au Hotel – 489 An Duong Vuong Street, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province on February 23rd 2020 at a non-profit price of 3,500. VND/kg.
Groundbreaking and Emulation Lauching Ceremony to complete the Discharge Gate Work Cluster – Bac Ai Pumped – Storage Hydropower Project
On 6th January 2020, People’ Committee of Ninh Thuan Province cooperated with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to organise the Groundbreaking and Emulation Lauching Ceremony to complete the Discharge Gate Work Cluster – Bac Ai Pumped – Storage Hydropower Project in the territory of Phuoc Tan and Phuoc Hoa Communes, Bac Ai District, Ninh Thuan Province. Construction Corporation 47 is the m’ain contractor.

Attendees in the ceremony includes: Mr Phan Xuan Dung – Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of National Assembly’s Science, Technology & Environment Committee; Mr Nguyen Duc Thanh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of People’s Council of Ninh Thuan Province; Mr Luu Xuan Vinh – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan Province; Mr Le Sy Hung – Vice Chairman of State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, member of the Presidium of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Duong Quang Thanh – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity; Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Leadership; Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Vietnam Electricity Corporation; Departments and Branches of Ninh Thuan province; Bac Ai and Ninh Son districts; Leaders of communes and people in the project area.

Bac Ai pumped-storage hydropower project, located in Phuoc Hoa and Phuoc Tan communes of Bac Ai district, is on the list of power source projects in the National Power Development Adjustment Plan by the Prime Minister in the period of 2011 – 2020 by EVN as the Investor. This is the first pumped-storage hydropower project to be built in Vietnam, includes 4 units with a capacity of 1,200 MW, uses the water source of Song Cai lake under the Tan My Irrigation system to pump up the water storage lake through 2 parallel tunnels with a diameter of 5.5 – 7.5m with a total length of more than 2,700m for each tunnel. The project is implemented in 2 phases: Phase 1 constructing the discharge door cluster, expected to be completed in April 2021; Phase 2 constructing main works in early 2022 to ensure the progress of power generation in December 2026; The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
