On July 11, 2025, Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors – and Mr. Duong Minh Quang – Member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer – paid a working visit to inspect the construction progress at the Nam Phak Hydropower Plant site (Champasak Province, Lao PDR).
This visit was part of a series of inspection and direction activities at key project sites of the Company, in celebration of its 50th anniversary (September 8, 1975 – September 8, 2025).

During the on-site inspection, Company leaders acknowledged and highly appreciated the urgent and serious working spirit of all engineers, workers, and laborers who are steadfastly committed to the project day and night. Despite prolonged adverse weather conditions and many challenges, the site team has proactively overcome difficulties, flexibly coordinated resources, and maintained round-the-clock construction with three shifts per day to meet the committed progress.

As of June 2025, the total completed construction volume had reached 2,363,624 m³, equivalent to 96% of the planned target. Several monthly milestones in April and May exceeded schedule expectations. Notably, the 140-day-and-night campaign was comprehensively deployed and completed ahead of target, demonstrating a strong spirit of emulation and determination across the entire construction site.
In his directive speech, Chairman Pham Nam Phong praised the unity, perseverance, and proactive management of the site’s Executive Committee and construction workforce. CEO Duong Minh Quang also urged the Site Management Board to strengthen rainy-season construction management, proactively plan appropriate manpower and equipment for the constrained terrain, and closely adhere to the project timeline, especially during the dam crest material layering phase.

On the same day, the Site Executive Committee organized the Mid-Year Production Review Ceremony for the first half of 2025. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the CEO, the Site Executive Committee of Construction Joint Stock Company 47, and distinguished guests including Mr. Ta Xuan Cuong – Deputy General Director of Song Da 5 JSC and Director of the Nam Phak Hydropower Project Management Board, along with all staff and workers on site.
The mid-year review summarized the key achievements of the first half of the year. On this occasion, Chairman Pham Nam Phong presented gifts to recognize the contributions and encourage the morale of all staff at the construction site.
