On August 16, 2025, Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (CC47), together with Mr. Cao Thanh Tuan – Deputy General Director of the Company, directly visited the construction site of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Expansion Project to inspect, review the site, and work with the site management board, technical officers, and all staff and workers (CBCNV) at the project. This was an important activity, demonstrating the close attention of the Company’s leadership to construction organization, while reaffirming the determination to ensure progress, quality, and occupational safety at this national key project.
During the working session, Chairman of the Board – Pham Nam Phong commended the collective spirit of overcoming difficulties of the entire site workforce, exceeding the production plan for the first 6 months of 2025 to secure the project’s power generation goal. At the same time, the Chairman requested the Site Management Board to focus on three key tasks: (1) Properly complete the as-built documentation, acceptance, and settlement with the Investor for remaining items; (2) Complete the inventory, gathering, and transfer of materials – equipment at the site; (3) Organize the final review and evaluation of the workforce participating in the project and prepare staff/labor rotation plans after project completion.

Immediately after the inspection and working session with the staff and workers on site, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 solemnly held the Mid-year Production Review Ceremony for the first 6 months of 2025 at Grand Hotel, Hoa Binh Ward. Attending the ceremony on behalf of the Investor were Mr. Bui Phuong Nam – Director of Power Project Management Board 1; Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan – Director of the Joint Venture Contractor’s Executive Board; along with officers from PPMB1, the Supervision Consultant, the joint venture contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, the Site Management Board, and all staff of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 at the Hoa Binh site.
Reports at the ceremony showed that in the first half of 2025, despite many construction challenges, the Site Management Board and Company staff made extraordinary efforts, with many project items being completed ahead of schedule. This result significantly contributed to ensuring the goal of operating Unit 1 of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Expansion Plant on August 19, 2025, as required by the Investor and the Government.

In recognition of these efforts, Chairman of the Board Pham Nam Phong awarded an extraordinary bonus of VND 50 million to the site workforce for their outstanding achievements in completing key items ahead of schedule. The Company’s Trade Union also awarded VND 25 million to encourage union members and workers. This timely recognition provided great motivation for the entire workforce working tirelessly at the site.

Especially, the mid-year review on August 16 was even more meaningful as it took place in the context of the whole country heading towards August 19, 2025 – marking the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), which also coincided with the groundbreaking and inauguration of 250 major projects nationwide. Within this significant national event, the achievements at the Hoa Binh Expansion site undertaken by CC47 became a remarkable highlight. If the 80 years of the August Revolution represent an eternal milestone in national history, then the 50th Anniversary of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (September 8, 1975 – September 8, 2025) is a golden milestone for a collective that has persistently accompanied the development of hydropower works, energy infrastructure, and national key projects, making important contributions to the country’s development.
