Half a century has passed, and CC47 has created projects that accompany the nation’s development while building its reputation through responsibility in every undertaking. From the courage to overcome challenges to the aspiration for continuous innovation, all have converged into the strength that enables the company to reach the international stage. This journey was further extended as CC47, together with PECC3, commenced the Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project – a landmark transformation that affirms its position as an international EPC contractor.

The Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project has a capacity of 124 MW (2 units), with a total EPC value of approximately 185 million USD, invested by Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Co., Ltd. The contractor consortium includes Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (CC47) and Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3), in which CC47 assumes the leading role as the EPC General Contractor of the project. The works include a 138m-high CFRD dam, water diversion tunnel, powerhouse, and auxiliary systems – all meeting international technical standards. With a construction duration of 48 months, the project is expected to be completed by Q3/2028, providing clean energy for Laos and exporting electricity to Vietnam.
On April 29, 2025, in Xiangkhuang Province, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, under the presence of Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, along with many senior leaders of the Lao Government, representatives of ministries, agencies, local authorities, distinguished guests, and Nam Neun 1 site staff, Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC47 delivered a speech receiving the construction order, affirming the commitment to implement the project in accordance with international standards, comply with local laws, ensure schedule, quality, environmental safety, and handover as contracted.

The presence of the CC47 logo on the international stage became a symbol of growth and confidence to reach further. The event coincided with the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation – a meaningful coincidence: “50 years of national reunification joy, also 50 years of CC47 confidently stepping into the international arena.”
Therefore, Nam Neun 1 is not only a milestone in expanding to the regional level but also opens a new chapter in the company’s development journey. From projects tied to national construction to today’s international construction site, CC47 has proven its capability to meet the strictest standards and affirmed its new position to go even further in the future.
