On August 19, 2024, the Board of Directors (BOD) of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47) passed a Resolution regarding establishment of Representative Office and appointing Head of Representative Office in Laos. According to the Resolution, the full name of the Representative Office is: Representative Office in Laos of Construction Joint Stock Company 47, located in Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR, operating under C47’s authorization and appointing Mr. Nguyen Huu Hai – BOD Member cum Deputy General Director as Head of Representative Office.
C47, a corporation, nearly a half of century of tradition in the construction sector, especially with its outstanding capacity in building the irrigation and hydropower projects. In recent 15 years, C47 completed more than 30 irrigation and hydropower projects nationwide valued over VN20,000 billion. Now C47 is also participating in a series of large projects in Vietnam such as: Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project (Hoa Binh province), Tan An – Dap Da Irrigation System Project, Phu Phong Weir Project, Cat Tien – Diem Van Section Coastal Road Project (Binh Dinh province), Ta Hoet Reservoir Project and Ka Zam Reservoir Project (Lam Dong province), etc.
Not only undertaking key projects worth thousands of billions of VND in Vietnam, C47 has also made its footprint in the regional markets. In Lao PDR, C47 is currently participating in Nam Phak Hydropower Project – with total value of nearly VND800 billion. The project is located in the Southern region of Lao PDR.
At the same time, C47 is also participating in Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project with EPC Contract valued USD184,999,999, for engineering, procurement and construction of the project with Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 as a JV member.
In parallel with promotion to expand its influence in the global market, together the Green transition trend, towards sustainable development, C47 is also promoting participation in the renewable energy sectors, the projects reducting greenhouse gas emissions, etc. In coming time, C47 will continue to promote its core competencies in the construction field of irrigation and hydropower works to affirm its reputation in both domestic and regional markets. At the same time, will also promote the activities associated with Green Transition and Sustainable Development.
