Through an open online domestic bidding procedure, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47) — A member of the JV Contractors including Lung Lo Construction Corporation, Song Da Corporation – JSC, SCI E&C Joint Stock Company, Truong Son Construction Corporation, and LILAMA 10 Joint Stock Company — was awarded the Package XL04-TAMR: Construction and installation works for Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, with contract value of VND 1,451 billion and contract duration of 960 days.
On June 3, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Power Project Management Board No. 3 (EVNPMB3), and the JV Contractors held the Contract Signing Ceremony for Package XL04-TAMR: Construction and Installation of Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project under Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project in Dong Nai Province.
Attending the Signing ceremony, on the side of EVN leadership, were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – EVN General Director, along with Members of the Board and Deputy General Directors of the Group. Representing the JV contractor were: Mr. Duong Minh Quang – Member of the Board and General Director of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (C47); and senior representatives from Lung Lo Construction Corporation, Song Da Corporation – JSC, SCI E&C JSC, Truong Son Construction Corporation, and LILAMA 10 JSC. Also in attendance were representatives from the loan arrangers: KfW Development Bank (Germany) and JSC Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).
Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, located in Dong Nai Province, has been approved by the Prime Minister as part of National Power Development Plan for Period 2021–2030, with vision to 2050. The project is invested by EVN and directly managed by EVNPMB3, with total investment of VND 3,965 billion and installed capacity of 200 MW (including 2 units of 100 MW each). The project is financed by 30% equity capital and 70% commercial loans from KfW and BIDV.
According to the implementation schedule, Unit No. 1 is expected to be commissioned in Q3/2027, and Unit No. 2 and the entire project are scheduled for completion in Q4/2027.
Package XL04-TAMR is the main work package of the project, with scope of works that includes: Inlet canal, Intake, Penstock, Powerhouse, Tailrace canal, power plant connection to the existing power grid, and various auxiliary works for construction, etc.
Winning and signing the contract for works of Package XL04-TAMR of Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, C47 once again reaffirms its capability and reputation in executing large-scale hydropower projects. With contract value of VND 1,451 billion, awarded through transparent and electronic domestic competitive bidding procedure, this achievement demonstrates C47’s outstanding competitiveness and technical excellence in professional tendering environment. This project not only marks significant milestone in C47’s development strategy but also contributes positively to ensuring national energy security and promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s power sector.
