An Important Starting Point for Expectations of Extensive Cooperation in the Hydropower EPC Sector
On May 25, 2026, at the headquarters of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (CC47), located at No. 8 Bien Cuong Street, Quy Nhon Nam Ward, Gia Lai Province, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 and Guiyang Engineering Corporation Limited of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) held a signing ceremony for the Electro-Mechanical Equipment Contract for the Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project and a Project Cooperation Agreement between the two parties.
The event was attended by senior executives from both organizations and representatives of relevant units. Representing Construction Joint Stock Company 47 were Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Duong Minh Quang – Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of CC47; together with members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, and heads of the Company’s professional departments.

Representing PowerChina Guiyang were Mr. Zhao Jiyong – Deputy General Manager of PowerChina Guiyang; Mr. Cui Jin – Director of the Hydropower and Water Resources Engineering Institute; along with representatives responsible for international markets, equipment integration, and the company’s representative office in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony took place in an atmosphere of professionalism, openness, and mutual trust, reflecting the determination of both parties to coordinate the implementation of key components of the Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project. This practical step further concretizes preparations in terms of engineering, equipment supply, and project execution, thereby contributing to the project’s schedule, quality, and overall effectiveness.

Beyond marking an important implementation milestone for the Electro-Mechanical Equipment Contract of the Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project, the ceremony also established a foundation for long-term cooperation between CC47 and PowerChina Guiyang through the Project Cooperation Agreement. The partnership aims to leverage the strengths, experience, and resources of both parties in hydropower development, construction, international EPC contracting, and large-scale infrastructure projects in Vietnam, Laos, and across Asia.
Reaching this milestone was the result of a thorough negotiation process, extensive discussions, and close coordination between the parties. Throughout this process, CC47 once again demonstrated its professionalism, capability, and commitment in meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of international projects.
