Recently, March 31, 2025, the Chairman of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (HOSE: C47), Mr. Pham Nam Phong visited and inspected the construction progress at Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project, located in Phianghong village, Nonghad district, Xiangngkhuang province, Lao PDR.
During the visit, the Chairman directly inspected the construction site, listened to the report from the Project Management Team on construction status of important items of the project. In addition, the Chairman also has worked with all subcontractors at the project for listening their sharing of difficulties and obstacles in the past time, their sincere comments to speed up the progress, and coordinate with the Site Team on the construction activities. The Chairman highly appreciated the working spirit of the staffs, engineers, and workers, and highlighted the importance of complance with the progress, ensure quality and working safety on the construction site.
Reported by the Project Management Team, over time, all officers and workers at the project site made continuous efforts, working with high sense of responsibility to ensure the progress and quality of the works. Despite facing difficulties due to harsh weather and challenges in the early stages of work, the collective of staffs, engineers and workers are still united, proactively finding solutions, strictly complying with regulations on working safety. In addition, thanks to the close direction of the Board, the Executive Board and the functional departments under C47, the construction site has created conditions for the project to complete key work items such as: Completed one batching plant 60m3/hr and one crushing plant 50t/hr; totally completed HT2 Access Road to Waterway; TC6 Access Road to Quarry 4A; VH1 access road to Switchyard, Intake, Main Dam, Spillway; VH2 Road to Powerhouse, Diversion Tunnel; TC1 Access Road to B1 Disposal Area. In particular, completed and exceeded the set-up plan by 113% of the workload of the Spillway foundation in March 2025. Currently, the construction site is focusing on the installation of one more batching plant 120m3/hr and one crushing plant 250t/hr, the expected completion time is within April 2025. Continuing to push up the totally completion of the Contractor’s camp (80% completed), the Employer’s camp (50% completed) as per the design, and the constructing the other work items.
The site visit of the Chairman Pham Nam Phong created great motivation for all staffs and employees at the construction site, affirming the close attention of the Company’s leaders to the project progress.
Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Project is designed that included 2 units, with total capacity of 124MW, located at Phianghong village, Nonghad district, Xiangkhuang province, Lao PDR, with Nam Neun 1 Hydropower Co., Ltd. as the Employer. When completed, the project will significantly contribute to the power supply for the region, creating momentum for economic development, improving the lives of local people and selling electricity to Vietnam through 220KV transmission line grid.
With extensive experience and capacity in construction of key national projects such as: Dong Nai 4 HPP (340MW-Dak Nong Province), Da Nhim Hydropower Plant Expansion PJT (80MW-Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan Provinces), Thuong Kon Tum HPP (220MW-Kon Tum Province), Trung Son HPP (260MW-Thanh Hoa Province), Bac Ai Pumped-Storage HPP (1,200MW-Phase 1 and Phase 2), Tan My Irrigation System PJT (Ninh Thuan Province), Dinh Binh Reservoir PJT, Dong Mit Reservoir PJT (Binh Dinh Province), Nuoc Trong Reservoir PJT (Quang Ngai Province), etc. C47 fully masters construction technologies, with enthusiastic and experienced human resources along with modern, synchronous equipment facilities that will ensure the construction progress of the project.
