Towards the sustainable development goal, on November 25, 2021, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (C47) will cooperate with Vu Phong Energy Group JSC and Investment and Trading Consultancy Company Limited (INTRACO) in the program “Providing the hygienic drinking-water stations and other greenhouse gas emission reduction programs” (such as afforestation and protection of marine ecosystems).
We all know that WATER is an essential component of life and the environment, and at the same time a core factor in sustainable development, especially in a country with agricultural strength like Vietnam. Among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations to eradicate poverty, protect the environment and the Earth’s climate, ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity. There are many Goals related to WATER resources, such as Goals 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 13, 15.
Hence, the tripartite cooperation among Construction Joint Stock Company 47 and Vu Phong Energy Group JSC and INTRACO is significant to mark an important milestone to build an ecosystem of businesses with the practical projects contribute to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially those on water resources – water security. Next time, the project has the goal of providing 1,000 hygienic drinking-water stations per year with a capacity of 2,000 liters/hour throughout the nation-wide provinces and cities, and then can expand to the afforestation, protection of marine ecosystem field. This program is also a joint effort towards the goal of greenhouse gas emissions reduction – in the spirit of the Prime Minister’s commitment at COP26 to Zero Emissions by 2050.
